Mirrored Nature Records
"Music Made Not Manufactured"
is the motto of this independent classical label based in Ontario, Canada. Led by producer Joseph Paterson
, their goal is to "bring the listener the highest fidelity in both the music and in the recording of the music."
They start with musicians who have the talent and sensibilities to perform in front of microphones as if they were the audience. The pure DSD recording chain is kept as simple and as short as possible. They use the best equipment available to capture the vitality, the humanity, the magic and the soul of the live musical experience.
So far Mirrored Nature Records
has released three outstanding hybrid, two-channel SACDs (which play on regular CD players as well as on SACD and universal players): Tchaikovsky, Piano Trio In A Minor Op. 50
(MNR-5001); Beethoven, Sonata for Violin and Piano #5 "Spring,"
C. Franck, Sonata for Violin and Piano in C Major (MNR-5002); and Beethoven, Beethoven, Sonata for Violoncello and Piano #5 in D Major, Trio for Violin, Piano, Violoncello #7 "Archduke,"
, all featuring violinist Alexander Stark
Invariably, the music and performance are beautiful and the sound is stunningly natural, realistic and involving. Mirrored Nature Records
is a wonderful, little label that should be known to music lovers and audiophiles around the world.
