| | Release Date: | | 02/20/2009 | | Description: | | Italian pianist Paolo Di Sabatino (b. 1970 in Teramo, Italy) wowed Japanese jazz fans with his Atelier Sawano debut Atelier Of Melody. Now, only a few months after the release of the first CD, comes his sophomore release, and this time it's a collection of solo piano performances of his own compositions. The album is dedicated to his daughter, Caterina.
Each running a length of about two minutes, the 18 compositions are short, lovely canzoni (songs). Like tiny flowers in a meadow, they don't attract attension by grand gestures or loud colors. Instead, they catch our eyes (or, in this case, ears) by simple, almost naive beauty that rewards those who find it.
