Description:Oklahoma Toad is the debut album by Dave Frishberg, talented jazz pianist and singer-songwriter known for his wry sense of humor. The album was co-produced by David Rosner and Margo Guryan who brought their mix to Creed Taylor's CTI. Taylor conducted additional recordings, remixed the tracks and changed the order of the songs before releasing it in 1970.

This very special Japanese reissue comes with two discs. The first disc contains the entire album as released by CTI. The bonus, second disc contains, for the first time, the producers' original mix as well as one previously unreleased track.

Long out of print, this brilliant album captures Frishberg's unique talents at the beginning of his long and successful career. Packaged in a gorgeous gatefold paper sleeve jacket and containing a full-length liner notes by Bill Reed (in English), this is a valuable collector's item and a must-have for fans of Dave Frishberg!

Recorded in New York in 1969.
