Artist/Band: | | Antonio Farao Trio | Name: | | Borderlines | Cat No.: | | SKE-333013 | Performed by: | | Antonio Farao (piano) Daniel Humair (drums) Jean-Jacques Avenel (bass)
| Release Date: | | 01/01/2002 | Description: | | Young Italian pianist Antonio Farao is teamed with ledendary French drummer Daniel Humair and bassist Jean-Jacques Avenel in this superb 1999 recording. Most of the numbers here are original compositions of the band members. The sprighty and slightly funky opener Captain Duck immediately tells you this is a special album indeed. Farao displays virtuosic technique, logical construction and fierce energy in every solo, and the trio's telepathic interplay and dynamism is astonishing. Listen to the sensitive cymbal work of the Master Daniel Humair? Following the tradition of Sketch label, the sound quality is also superb.
