In addition to the brothers who rarely record together, this very special quartet features phenomenal pianist and GRAMMY winner Bill Cunliffe and superb Swedish bassist Mattias Svensson.
The Little Drummer Boy, recorded beautifully at Wang Guang Studios in Japan, is a great bebop-based album with no less than four originals by the leader and one by Pat, as well as some nicely done standards. This is a very enjoyable, swinging CD perfect for fans of straight ahead jazz, and easily one of the best albums of 2011! Strongly recommended!
